First, call Michael at 877-220-9446 and set up your account and password information. Then follow the  instructions below.

If you use an Apple computer:

On the desktop, go to the Go menu. Pull down to connect to server. In the server address, enter afp://qualitywebprinting.net and click on the connect button. (AFP stands for Apple File Protocol. It's an easy ftp-type method between apple computers.) Another window will pop up. Enter your user and password. There is an option to remember the connection, so you don't have to type in your user name and password every time you connect, if you chose. Once you connect to the server, find your folder and double click on it. It will mount to your desktop and all you have to do is drop and drag your files to it. Once you are through, drag the mount to the trash and you will be disconnected from the server.

Setting up Network Place on a PC

Go to My Computer in the Start menu.

When the window opens, there are three boxes on the left side. In the middle box (titled Other Places) click on My Network Places. After the window updates, select add a network place in the top of the box on the left called Network Tasks. This will start the network wizard.

At the first window in the wizard, click next to begin. In the next window, make sure that Choose another network location is highlighted and then click next again.

The next window will ask for an Internet or network address. In this box enter ftp://qualitywebprinting.net. Then click next.

In the next window it will ask about User Name and Password. There's a box with a check mark next to Log on anonymously. Uncheck that box. When you do that the Username box will become open to type in. In that box type your user name. Then click next.

The next window will ask you what you want to name the network place. It will already have qualitywebprinting.net in the box. You can keep it that or call it anything you choose. Click next.

The next window will tell you that a shortcut for qualitywebprinting.net, or whatever you choose to call it, in My Network Places. It will also open it automatically when you click finish on the wizard. Click Finish.

When qualitywebprinting.net opens, it will ask you for your user name and password. Your user name should already appear in the box. In the password space, type in your password. Before you click log on, there is a box just above it that says save password. If you check it, it will save your password so yu don't have to type it every time you log on, but the password will look like a series of dots for encryption. When you log on, you will see a list of folders. They're in alphabetical order. Find your folder in the list and double click on the folder. Now all you have to do is drag your file into the folder. You can also delete the file if necessary.

You only have access to your folder and no one else can get into your folder unless you give them the username and password information.

The next time you're ready to go to the ftp site, go to start/my network places and double click on qualitywebprinting.net in the list. If you don't have my network places in your start menu, just go to my computer and click my network places in the top of the middle box.
